Chhapra Wali Mata Manokamna's deadline is fixed
Mandla- Chhapra Wali Dai's place in Hirdenagar village of the district is the center of faith for the devotees of the entire district including the local area. Here the mother's place is under the teak tree. The elders of the village tell that this place has been there for hundreds of years.
Our forefathers used to tell that earlier only a small market was established here. As the wishes of the people got fulfilled, Madhiya took the grand form of the temple.
But it is worth noting that Chhapra Wali Dai does not have any form. Mother is established here in formless form. The throne is built but it is empty, it is worshiped only.
wishes come true
The wishes of the devotees who come here are fulfilled very quickly, but for that it is necessary to make a vow. If someone is not able to reach the temple, then from where he is, he should remember Chhapra's midwife and ask for a vow, even then the wishes are fulfilled.
Devotees from far and wide reach the temple throughout the year. There are many people in the area whose wishes were fulfilled here and they are still devoted to the service of Mother. Local people tell that when the wishes are fulfilled, the devotee has to offer Barai, Pillai.
If a devotee refrains from sacrifice, then he offers sweetened sweets, coconut incense sticks to the mother. But Barai and Pilai is the ritual here which continues throughout the year.
Entry of women and girls prohibited
It is told that girls and women are prohibited from coming to Chhapra Wali Dai and they are not even allowed to accept the prasad offered here. For this reason women and girls do not accept the prasad here.
Small girls can come to the temple and men can also take the prasad before the sun sets. Here any kind of sacrifice is prohibited in Chaitra and Shardeya Navratras and coconuts are also not broken.
events happen
Khappar Jaware, Kalash are sown here during Navratri. Aarti is held in the morning and evening throughout the year. Mahaarti is performed on one day. Kanya Bhoj is done after Havan Pujan on Ashtami.
But this time only devotees are worshiping, reciting and having darshan in Mata's court. No events are being organized here. This time, due to Corona, even the jars and urns have not been kept in the temple.
Why is it called Chhapra Wali Dai?
The elders told that it is established under a teak tree and because of its shadow, it is called Chhapra Wali Dai. Some say that they were brought from Chhapra village. The above information was given by Acharya Santosh Maharaj, a devotee of Maa Narmada.
There is no priest in the temple
Every day throughout the year someone or the other sacrifices here to fulfill the wishes of the devotees. The special thing is that there is no priest here. People worship according to their faith.
After the sacrifice, the prasad is not even taken home, nor is it given to women. The male class cooks food and takes it collectively after worship around the temple. In this court of Mata, where worship is done without a priest, on the other hand, women don't accept prasad even while entering the temple
